CMJ ARCHIVE FOR
BUNNYDRUMS

BUNNYDRUMS: "Little Room"/"Win"
Both sides feature tightly danceable rock grooves with a throbbing bass. "Win" has an insistent synth rhythm, tremendous beat, and echoed, raw guitar strums placed strategically throughout. "Little Room" has a guitar sound somewhere between Echo and the Bunnymen and the Gang of Four. A promising debut, albeit a bit on the raw side.

BUNNYDRUMS: HOLY MOLY
Doomy and dark, Bunnydrums has always flaunted that side of their personality. on Holy Moly they balance it with intensity and drive, keeping the emotional music and vocals at the center. Greg Davis's bass provides a steady bottom-reminding us of the Gang of 4-which the guitars and drums careen around. Harsh and very satisfying, Bunnydrums deserve your attention. Top cuts: "Deep In The Heart," "Holy Moly," "YRB" and the cover of Iggy's "T.V. Eye."
